Ab dem 11. September gibt es im Monbijou Theater jeden Samstag Stand-up-Comedy auf Englisch: Darkest Thoughts, Berlins improvisierte Comedy-Gameshow, zieht ein.
Und das ist der Clou: Nach einer ersten Runde Stand-up von Berlins besten englischsprachigen Comedians gehört die Show dir. Schreib anonym auf einen Zettel, was dir gerade im Kopf herumgeht – alles, worüber du grübelst, vom ganz Alltäglichen bis zu deinem wirklich dunkelsten Gedanken. Die Comedians machen daraus Stand-up, live und ungeprobt, direkt auf der Bühne.

Die Show von Epic Comedy Berlin ist seit über sieben Jahren aus Berlins englischsprachiger Comedy-Szene nicht mehr wegzudenken, und im letzten Sommer war sie beim Edinburgh Fringe Festival komplett ausverkauft. Jetzt hat sie ein neues Zuhause: die gemütliche Indoor-Bühne in Berlin-Mitte.

Title: Darkest Thoughts comes to Monbijou Theater
From 11th of September, Saturday nights on the indoor stage belong to Darkest Thoughts, Berlin’s improvised English stand-up comedy game-show.
Here’s how the show works: after an opening round of stand-up from Berlin’s best English-speaking comedians, the show is yours. Write down whatever’s on your mind – anything you’ve been overthinking, from the mundane to the genuinely darkest thought in your head – anonymously, on a slip of paper. Then the comedians take your notes and improvise stand-up from them, live on the spot.
You write it, they make it funny. No two shows are ever the same.
The show, produced by Epic Comedy Berlin, has been a fixture of Berlin’s English comedy scene for over seven years, and last summer it sold out its run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now it’s found a new home at Monbijou Theater’s cosy indoor stage.
Doors open 20:00, show starts 20:30, every Saturday from 11th of September.
