“Lights Up!” – the brand-new, completely improvised musical in two acts – as unpredictable as it is unforgettable! Inspired solely by suggestions from the audience, the ensemble weaves a hilarious story full of endearing characters, catchy melodies and incredible harmonies. Every show is “pure magic”, a unique explosion of story, sound and spontaneous merriment that will linger in the memory long after the final curtain has fallen!
The Berlin-based ensemble Kaleidoscope draws on the worlds of musical theatre and opera to create powerful performances renowned for their breathtaking musicality, razor-sharp wit and narrative skill.
Since its founding in 2022, Kaleidoscope has consistently sold out venues in Berlin, toured the UK, performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and most recently headlined the musical improvisation festival “Big Sing” in Barcelona. This summer, the performers are donning their overalls, lacing up their Converse and bringing their latest show to the Wilhelmhütte at the Monbijou Theatre.
„Lights Up!“ – das brandneue, komplett improvisierte Musical in zwei Akten – ebenso unvorhersehbar wie unvergesslich! Inspiriert allein von Vorschlägen des Publikums, webt das Ensemble eine urkomische Geschichte voller liebenswerter Charaktere, eingängiger Melodien und unglaublicher Harmonien. Jede Show ist „pure Magie“, ein einmaliges Feuerwerk aus Geschichte, Klang und spontaner Heiterkeit, das noch lange nach dem letzten Vorhang im Gedächtnis bleiben wird!
Das Berliner Ensemble Kaleidoscope, schöpft aus den Bereichen des Musiktheaters und der Oper und erschafft kraftvolle Performances, die für ihre atemberaubende Musikalität, ihren messerscharfen Witz und ihr erzählerisches Können bekannt sind.
Seit Gründung 2022 schafft Kaleidoscope Veranstaltungsorte in Berlin auszuverkaufen, war auf Tournee in Großbritannien, trat beim Edinburgh Fringe Festival auf und war zuletzt Headliner des Musical-Improvisationsfestivals „Big Sing“ in Barcelona. In der Sommersaison ziehen die Performer*innen ihre Overalls an, schnüren ihre Converse und bringen ihre neuste Show in die Wilhelmhütte des Monbijou Theaters.
